This printed bikini is made from rPET, a fabric made from recycled plastic bottles. The super soft rPET fabric is certified by the Global Recycled Standard and is fully traceable. 13 billion water bottles are used and thrown away every year. Muzungu Sisters use sustainable practices to create beautiful, high-quality swimwear from plastic water bottles that would otherwise end up in landfills or the ocean.
All their swimwear is carefully made in a small workshop in Cape Town, South Africa. The ladies who make the pieces are paid a healthy living wage, which allows them to support their families.
